ROES

ROES is an easy to use, cross-platform ordering solution for all of our products and services. The visual interface makes ordering simple - what you see is what you get. The ROES software is very easy to launch and install, and will automatically update with any new products and services we add. Using the software is simple: select a folder of images, select a product you want to order, and drag the image you want into the product in the middle.

Where do I download ROES?

The free ROES download is available once you have setup your MpixPro account.

Does ROES work with all operating systems?

Any Java capable system can be used, so Apple OS X 10.3 or higher, Linux, and all current versions of Windows will support the application.

Can I run ROES without logging in to MpixPro?

Yes, you can create a shortcut on your desktop to launch the ROES system without logging in to the MpixPro site.

Troubleshooting ROES

First Steps to Troubleshooting Issues with the ROES Application

Check for multiple Java versions:
  • Open the Control Panel
  • Launch the "Add or Remove Programs" control panel
  • Examine the list for any items with Java in the name. You should only have one version installed, "Java(TM) 6 Update 7".
  • If you have other versions installed then you should remove them.


Installing the latest Java (if you don't have 6 Update 7)
  • Go to http://www.java.com
  • Follow the instructions to download the installer
  • When the download finishes, launch the installer
  • When the download finishes, launch the installer
  • Follow the steps to install Java


Clear your Java cache:
  • PC Java Cache: Go to Start>Settings>Control Panel>Java>Cache tab or General Tab "Clear JAR Cache" or "Delete Files"
  • Mac Java Cache: Macintosh Hard Drive>Applications Folder>Utilities>Java>Java Plug-in Settings>Cache>Clear Cache


Q. I've followed all of these tips and I still cannot get ROES to open?
A. There are times when PC users will continue to experience problems opening ROES even after emptying the Java cache. When this happens a full uninstall and relaunch of Java is necessary to restore your Java settings.

To uninstall and relaunch Java on your PC:
  • Go to the Java Download page (www.java.com) and download the Windows Offline Installation.
  • Go to Start>Settings>Control Panel
  • Double-click on "Add or Remove Programs"
  • Remove any program that says "Java, J2SE" in the description
  • If you have previously had a successful ROES launch, find the .mpixpro and the .roescache folders in C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\ and delete them both.
  • Restart your computer
  • Install Java by double-clicking the file you downloaded from the Windows Offline Installation page
  • When prompted, choose the Typical installation
  • After installation is complete, restart your computer
  • Finally, login to your MpixPro account and download ROES
  • !!WARNING- MAC USERS SHOULD NOT COMPLETELY UNINSTALL JAVA!!
